TEXT 1 The Executive Secretary professional executes several activities in the organizational context aiming to reach the satisfaction of their internal and external customers. These activities have been diversified along the time, so now it is necessary to know and to enlarge the concept of “processes.” This text presents a theoretical discussion on administrative processes with the purpose to understand them better as well as to motivate the professionals from the secretarial field to rethink their performance starting with processes. Companies that want to keep themselves competitive or to become competitive need to concentrate their efforts on customer’s focus and on the excellence of services, in this way the structure in processes is a basic element for that. On account of that, the Executive Secretary needs to have a constant active posture towards work processes and the processes of the organization, besides managing them.
