It is a widespread belief that statins are a likely cause of muscle aches. Now a "monumental" study by researchers at Oxford University has "definitively" debunked the theory that the cholesterol-busting pills are to blame for common pains. While aches are experienced by many taking the drugs, the vast majority are caused by other things – most commonly that those taking them are simply getting older.
